Common Dishwasher Repair Issues We Fix
Not cleaning dishes properly
Clogged spray arms, a failed wash pump, or a worn-out water inlet valve are the most common causes. We flush the spray arms, inspect pump pressure, and replace any faulty components so dishes come out clean every cycle.
Not draining — standing water in the tub
A blocked filter, clogged drain hose, or failed drain pump will leave water sitting at the bottom after the cycle. We clear the drain path and replace the pump if needed — this is one of our most common dishwasher calls.
Leaking water onto the floor
Usually a failed door gasket, a cracked water inlet valve, or a loose hose connection. We trace the leak source precisely — water can travel before it reaches the floor, so guessing causes repeat calls. We find it and fix it right.
Won't start or no power
A faulty door latch is the first thing we check — most dishwashers won't run if the door switch isn't fully engaged. Beyond that, a blown thermal fuse, failed control board, or wiring issue could be the cause. We diagnose and fix at the component level.
Door won't latch or seal
A damaged latch assembly or worn door gasket prevents the dishwasher from running and can cause leaks. We replace door latches and gaskets for all major brands — quick repair, same day.
Dishes not drying
A failed heating element or vent fan is usually the cause on older models. On newer condensation-dry models, a faulty vent or rinse aid dispenser is more common. We identify which drying system your unit uses before diagnosing.
Loud or unusual noises during cycle
Grinding typically means something is caught in the chopper blade or pump. Rattling can be spray arm contact or a loose part. Humming without filling usually points to a stuck water inlet valve. We locate the noise source and resolve it.
Error codes on control panel
Modern dishwashers display error codes that pinpoint the fault. We carry manufacturer reference data for all major brands and can read and act on error codes from Bosch, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, and more.
